Flavia Pinello, Fashion Designer e Couturier siciliana, fu’ la nonna Teresa Correnti, sarta rifinita che lavorò per le Sorelle Fontana, ad insegnarle l’amore, la passione e le tecniche dell’Haute Couture. 
Una passione mai sopita che l’ha portata a frequentare un corso di taglio e confezione per poi intraprendere un apprendistato presso uno dei migliori Atelier palermitani di abiti da sposa e cerimonia dove le sono state insegnate nuove tecniche dell’alta sartoria siciliana e del disegno di moda, e nonostante la giovane età divenne anche la ricamatrice dell’Atelier, infine il diploma in Fashion Design, step necessario per fondere al meglio le tecniche degli anni d’oro della moda italiana con quelle moderne. Ma la sua formazione non si ferma mai, infatti si specializza anche in Digital Fashion Making.
“Modart di Flavia Pinello”, è il nome dell’Atelier che ha fondato a Palermo, un tempio della moda isolana dove tradizione ed innovazione si fondono nell’Alta Sartoria. Con non poche difficoltà territoriali e culturali è riuscita portare avanti la sua idea di moda e di alta sartoria fino a scardinare la diffidenza riguardo gli abiti sartoriali, ed è riuscita così ad entrare nel cuore del pubblico siciliano, italiano ed internazionale.
Partendo al suo Atelier è riuscita a farsi conoscere nel panorama internazionale della Moda Sposa con il brand che porta il suo nome: “Flavia Pinello”, come una delle più talentuose Designer e Couturier del panorama italiano grazie al suo stile innovativo e l’altissima qualità della sua manifattura.
Il suo talento ha catturato l’attenzione dei grandi nomi della moda, ma, orgogliosa delle sue origini siciliane e pur di mantenere la sua indipendenza, il suo brand ed il suo Atelier a Palermo, ha declinato proposte di lavoro importanti da multinazionali della moda che la volevano inserire nel loro staff a Milano, Londra o New York.
Il suo stile, perfettamente riconoscibile, è stato definito dalla critica di settore come un “rinnovamento del minimal chic”.
Così ha avuto la possibilità di essere pubblicata nei più importanti Magazine e Riviste di settore come ELLE Sposa, Zankyou, UFashOn, LeiSì, Sposi Magazine, LABOR e BRIDE Magazine Russia.

La mente creativa della Couturier non si ferma solo alla Sposa, ma nel suo curriculum si annoverano importanti collaborazioni per i costumi con il mondo del cinema, con il mondo della musica e consulenze stilistiche, prototipia e produzione conto terzi per importanti brand internazionali di pret-à-couture.
Durante il difficile periodo del Lock-down a causa del Covid-19, per cercare di essere d’aiuto ha iniziato a produrre mascherine chirurgiche, classificate come DM, mettendo in rete oltre 15 laboratori sartoriali ed è riuscita, in qualità di Rappresentante Legale, a far riconoscere il Primo Distretto Produttivo della Moda della Regione Sicilia.
Traguardi e Awards
Nel 2016 ha esordito a livello internazionale presentando la sua Collezione Sposa alla Dubai Fashion Week e alla New York International Bridal Week diventando uno delle più quotate Couturier mondiali.
Nel 2017 è stata la più giovane vincitrice del Premio Nazionale “Giuseppe Guarino” al Val
ore e Merito Artigiano, che normalmente viene insignito ad imprenditori artigiani con almeno 25 anni di attività.
Nel 2018 viene insignita del titolo di Eccellenza dall’amministrazione comunale di Casteldaccia dove risiede, insieme al calciatore dell’U.S. Città di Palermo Luca Fiordilino ed il campione di nuoto paraolimpico Giuseppe Guzzo.
A Novembre 2018 vince il Premio Italia Giovane, come Eccellenza e Talento Under 35, nella categoria Made in Italy. La cerimonia di premiazione si è svolta alla LUISS Business School in Roma, alla presenza delle più alte cariche del Governo Italiano con il Patrocinio del Senato della Repubblica, La Camera dei Deputati ed il CONI. Nel 2019 resta vincitrice in pectore.
Il Presidente dell’Osservatorio Poetico Contemporaneo, candidato al Premio Nobel Acc. Cav. Prof. Alessio Arena, ha insignito nel 2019 Flavia Pinello del Premio di Eccellenza del Made in Italy in quanto espressione fisica della poesia nel mondo dell’Alta Moda.
Confindustria Sicilia ad inizio 2020 le ha assegnato il Premio Open – Break the Chain per l’innovazione apportata alla sartoria con l’utilizzo della stampa 3D ed è entrata nell’organizzazione Capitale Umano Italia, che raggruppa e mette in rete i migliori talenti italiani Under 35.
In attesa di essere ufficialmente investita come Dama, titolo femminile pari a Cavaliere, dall’Accademia de’ Nobili di Firenze, una delle istituzione più antiche di Italia che l’ha accolta tra i suoi membri con il titolo di Accademica
Flavia Pinello, Fashion Designer e Couturier from Sicily, her Grandmother, who worked for Sorelle Fontana, taught her the love, the passion and the techniques of Haute Couture.
A neverending passion that take her to attend a course for Tailors, and then he began an internship in one of the best Atelier of wedding and occasion dress in Palermo. During it she learned the newest techniques of renoknowed sicilian High end tailoring and fashion drawing, and despite her young age she was take in charge of the embroideries. In the end she earned a Fashion Design diploma, necessary step to be able to do a better blending of the techniques of high end tailoring of the golden age of italian fashion with the modern ones. Her education never stops, and she specialie also in Digital Fashion Making.
“Modart di Flavia Pinello”, is the name of the Atelier she founded in Palermo, a Temple of Fashion where innovation and tradition blend in Haute Courure. With many territorial and cultural difficulties she take on her idea of fashion and high end tailoring until she overcame the skepticism towards artisanal and sartorial dresses conquering the hearts of sicilian, italian and people all around the world.
From her atelier in Palermo she became known in the international panorama of Bridal Fashion with her own name brand “Flavia Pinello”, as one of the most talentous italian designer and couturier thanks to her innovative style and the high quality of manufacturing.
Her talent catch the attention of the big names of fashion, but proud of her sicilian roots and in order to mantein her creativity freedom, her Atelier and her Brand she declined job propositions from worldwide fashion brands, that wants her in their staff in Milan, London or New York.

She was on the most important magazines in the industry as ELLE Sposa, Zankyou, UFashOn, LeiSì, Sposi Magazine, LABOR e BRIDE Magazine Russia.

Her creative mind does not stop only in Bridal Fashion, but she can include important collaboration with the movie industry, the world of music and consulences with reknowned international pret-à-couture brands for collection design, prototyping and production
During the hard times of the Lock down in Italy caused by Covid-19, in order to help she began a production of facial masks, classified as Medical Device, making a network of over 15 manufactoring labs and she managed, as Legal representative, to obtain the recogniction of the first Productive District of Fashion in Sicily, with over 60 companies partecipating in it.
Goals & Awards
In 2016 she made her international debut showing her Bridal collection in occasion of Dubai Fashion Week and New York International Bridal Week, becoming one of the world’s most esteemed couturier
In 2017, after only 5 years, she was the youngest winner of all time of Premio Nazionale “Giuseppe Guarino” al Valore e Merito Artigiano, usually awarded to the artisanal business with at least 25 years of activity
In 2018 was awarded of the title of Eccellennce, by the town management of the city of Casteldaccia along side with the professional football player Fiordilino and the paraolimpic swimming champion Guzzo.
In the November of 2018 she won Premio Italia Giovane, for the Excellence and Talent under 35 y.o. in the Made in Italy section. The awarding ceremony was held at the LUISS Business School in Rome, with some the higest representative of the Italian government with the sponsorship of Senato della Repubblica Italiana, Camera dei Deputati and CONI. In 2019 she was winner in pectore.
The President of Osservatorio Poetico Contemporaneo, Nobel prize nominee Acc. Cav. Prof. Alessio Arena, in 2019 honoured Flavia Pinello with prize Eccellenza del Made in Italy as physical expression of poetry in High End Fashion.
Confindustria Sicilia at the beginning of 2020 gave her the award Open – Break the Chain for the innovation in tailoring taking the use of 3D Printing and she eneterd the organization Capitale Umano Italia, that is a network of the best Italian talents under 35 y.o.
She is an Accademica and she is waiting for the official investiture as Dama, female honor equivalent to Knighthood, by Accademia de’ Nobili of Florence, one of the most ancient istitution in Italy.
